Which do you consider the Ugliest Building in Seattle?

I have to say my top choices would be the King County Municipal Building, The Downtown Library and the Experience Music Project. Which ones do you just hate?

I agree with you about the EMP. And i agree with you 50% about the library. I like the exterior just fine. The interior is 1) hideous and 2) completely inappropriate for the usage of the building. The municipal building is just old and dated and run down. Be quiet about it! Or else you will wind up paying for a new building for the simple fact that it is old and dated and run down. Ron Sims has already asked for this. It's a perfectly good building though. Don't let him take your tax dollars just because he wants a nicer office!

Well i work for the company that built the library and the EMP... (not designed it just built it) and i think you have to look at it as not your typical building and more of a peice of art.... especially the EMP, i mean I think the look is totally appropriate for what it is.... i can see if that was the building for city hall or something... but it is way cool looking to me, and i look at it more like art, same with the lirary... i mean before i even worked for this company when i drove past it for the first time i just remeber being in awww... i had never seen any building like that... I would definetly say more unique then anything... you wont find 2 buildings that those anywhere... i mean would'nt it be boring if everything had the same look and shape.... we are seattle we gotta be differant!

I think it's got to definitely be the EMP. That thing is just atrocious! It wasn't the only design they had for the building, so I'm not too sure, either...

Pikes Place Mkt! But beauty is only skin (er... veneer) deep, and the market is _great_ fun; it probably wouldn't be as great if it were in some fancy location.
