Anybody familiar with 2323 9th Ave. SW Olympia, WA 98502? I am planning to rent apartment named Cambridge Court Apartment. I wanna know the safety of the surrounding area. Actually I am moving to Fort Lewis with my military duty. I am from Maryland and have no clue about Washington State. If anybody can give me some idea about the surrounding area of Fort Lewis, I will be really appreciate. Thanks.

Not familiar with that particular part of Olympia, but having lived in both Maryland (DC metro) and lived in the Olympia/Seattle corridor, I doubt you have anything to worry about safety-wise. It's Olympia, it's small, it's the state capital. For comparison, I'd argue plenty of places in Annapolis or Frederick/Ft Detrick are less safe than any spot you will find in Olympia.

Reviews seem to be a mixed bag, some loved it, more seemed to have thought the managment is terrible.

I'm not familiar with those particular apartments, but Oly in general is pretty safe. If you can afford to rent a house, you should look at Dupont. It is a really nice, new neighborhood that is a lot closer to Ft. Lewis.

Area around Fort Lewis is alright, Tacoma hill is horrible though. Hopefully someone else can give you a more detailed description of the area, as I am not that far south.
