I flew ALL the time when I was a kid. When you purchase his ticket make sure to get him a flight attendant escort in case he has to change flights. They will walk him to his terminals and make sure he has boarded his flight. They are very attentive. Pack him/her snakcs and materials to entertain her/himself on the plane. Window seat, so he/she can stare out the window without botehering their neighbor.

As for yoiu, make alist of all his flight information, includign arrival and departure times, with flight numbers. Have the airline number written down so you can call and check status of arrival times, I bvelieve as a parent you are allowed to verify he has arrived as well Ber calm, dont stress or it will make your child more nervous. Explain how much fun they are gonna have looking out the window, and seeing the country form up in the sky. And last......be calm, your kid will be just fine!

Yea, there is a fee that you can pay to have him escorted from flight to flight and then to you after arriving at your final destination. It should be between 50 and 100 US dollars. And yea, a calling card is a good idea, or even a cell phone so that he does not have to go find a pay phone. If you do the escort service, the peple may not LET him leave the waiting area to find one....

Good luck!

You pay an extra 50.00 to have an attendant stay with him and help him find his way. I did this recently and they pamperd my son....he loved it. also give him a calling card so he can call you inbetween flights.......this helps both of you feel better.
